Marysville Strawberry Fest.

It's Strawberry season here in WA state!! :) I absolutely love strawberries...& not just because I was raised in the "Strawberry Capital of the World" AKA Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Although, that is a very convincing reason...

Like Ponchatoula's annual Strawberry Fest., Marysville does something similar. With everything from Entertainment to kiddie activities! They had a pony ride, car show, strawberry shortcake eating contest, carnival, parade (Kiddies & Grand), & fireworks. A lot of small business owners set up booths & sale their merchandise. There is great food & lots of sweets! My favorite is the Funnel Cake!!

My friend Amy decided to enter the Strawberry Shortcake Eating Contest...what she didn't realize is, her main competition was the winner of last years contest! She didn't win, but it was a lot of fun to watch!

Braiden rode a pony for the first time today at the Strawberry Fest. He had a blast!

Ellie & Braiden both got their face painted while at the Strawberry Fest. today!

Braiden wanted a Baseball
Ellie got a pretty pink flower!
It was a great day spent with wonderful friends! The weather wasn't perfect...It hardly is here in WA, but we made the best of it & had fun! I'm looking forward to going back tomorrow.
Maybe we'll get lucky & it will be sunny!

Here are a few more pictures from today...

Ellie is such a cutie!
They had a train ride for kids!
Braiden wasn't too sure about the Pirates

The best thing I ate at the Strawberry Fest! Funnel Cake!

Lets Talk Money...

$$$....I am getting a lot of negative feed back on my pricing. To be perfectly honest...my prices are some of the cheapest around. You can do in studio or on location...& you'll get exactly what you want! Not like the cheap one pose portrait from your in store studio photographers. I love what I do, but it isn't just a hobby. This is my job & I have to make money doing it. The cost of gas, camera equipment, quality prints, & my time away from my family goes into my pricing.

Just to be 100% clear these are my prices...

Remember...Pictures last a lifetime & are priceless memories you'll cherish for years to come!

Jim Creek - Recreation Area

Jim Creek - Recreation Area
Because our Internet wasn't working for a few days, I am just now getting around to posting this.

Saturday, May 26th - Friends Nicole, Monica, & I decided to spend the day at Jim Creek - Recreation Area.

They were having a small fair for all Military families & had a bounce house, velcro wall, & playground. They had hay & pony rides for the kids too. Included was ice cream, movies & games for the whole family.

It was such a beautiful day & the air was fresh & clean! I just love spending the day out in the country.

Nicole & I brought a blanket & had a picnic under a tree. Our view was breath taking! We walked around for a bit after we ate & chatted with our friend, Laura, who works at Jim Creek.
The tree we sat under for our picnic :) && our gorgeous view!
When Monica showed up with her precious baby boy Riley, we made our way to a shaded area so that he could crawl around on the blanket. He was all smiles!

Riley crawling on our picnic blanket!

Riley trying to "pet" the pony
Later we decided to let Riley see the ponies! We asked the owner if we could pet them (Riley is too small to ride a pony right now) & we could.

Riley, thought it would be awesome to pull the ponies hair like he pulls mommies! LOL Poor pony...I'm sure it is use to kids doing annoying things though.

By then, it was starting to get late & Monica had to get Riley home. So Nicole & I sat in the office & talked to Laura a bit more & played some Foosball. I had to show Nicole how to play...
then I waited in line for some ice cream.

Eventually we had to head back home, so we said goodbye to this beautiful place & drove home.

It was a wonderful way to spend our day while our husbands were away.

Here area a few more pictures from our day at Jim Creek :) Enjoy!

Jewel's Day at the Beach

Jewel
We don't always have beautiful sunny days here, so when it is, we take advantage of it. Today was a nice 64 degrees outside, so we decided to take our baby girl, Jewel, to the dog park in Edmond's WA. I love this dog park. It's on a beach & fenced in away from traffic. This was only our 2nd time taking Jewel, but her first time ever to get into the water. It took her a while to get there because she got distracted by just about everything, but when she did, SHE LOVED IT!

Frisbee
We brought her pink Frisbee with us, but she doesn't quite get the concept of going to get it & bringing it back to us haha! Still, it was a lot of fun watching her run through the small waves & doggie paddling.

After a couple of hours of fun on the beach, it was time to leave. We got Jewel back to the car & she quickly laid down for the ride home. Did I mention the DROOL from the ride too the dog park? Jewel gets motion sickness in the back seat of our car...this causes her to drool EVERYWHERE! I must say, I am so glad that our seats are leather.

Here are a few more pictures of Jewel at the Dog Park in Edmond's, WA!

USS Nimitz Homecoming

Welcome Home USS Nimitz CVN-68
Although it was only a 30 day period, your loved ones have missed you. Nothing makes me happier than seeing that big gray ship pull into a home port! I love to watch all the families stand on the pier waiting for their beloved Sailor. I love it so much & it is dear to my heart because my Hubby...ET2 Reck is also a Sailor on board the USS Nimitz. Thank you all for your service & hard work at sea. God Bless you all!

Here are a few shots from that wonderful, & might I add, BEAUTIFUL day in Everett, WA

Riley waiting for his Daddy in his Mommy's arms
A child reaching for their daddy, will bring tears to anyone's eyes
It was a long 30 days...
& Laura was so happy to have him in her arms again
Stephanie before the Nimitz docked...Waiting patiently for her Sailor
These girls make me smile every time
Grace & Hannah, over joyed because Daddy will be home soon!
& Finally...I have my Hero by my side once again!

But as with every "perfect day" something always has to go wrong...
We got to our car & realized we had a flat tire!
It didn't take long for my Hubby to fix the problem

Welcome Home USS Nimitz Sailors, enjoy your time home with your families
